ABOUT US
CHANGING THE WAY HORSES ARE UNDERSTOOD, TREATED, AND CARED FOR
We are a Canadian-based company specializing in equine osteopathy, rehabilitation, and education. Grounded in anatomy and informed by science, we provide hands-on therapy for both horses and humans, accredited certification programs for therapists, and dissection-based education that brings clarity to equine health. We also offer compassionate equine body removal and aftercare services, supporting horses and their people through every stage of life.
Our Story
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Founded by Elisse Miki—BSc Kinesiology, Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Equine Therapist, and Human Osteopath in Training—EQ Therapeutics grew from a lifelong love for horses into a home for anatomically informed, holistic healing.
As a young girl working in stables and taking riding lessons, Elisse’s dedication grew into a path that blended academic study, manual therapy, and osteopathic insight to support healing in both humans and horses. After years rehabilitating professional athletes—from rugby and football to Olympic teams—she saw the equine world lacked scientifically grounded care. Inspired by the recovery of “Sparky,” whose healing journey showed the power of thoughtful therapy, Elisse committed herself to advancing equine wellness worldwide.

OUR VALUES
PRINCIPLES THAT GUIDE US
Our values are more than words — they’re the foundation of everything we do. Each one reflects our commitment to the horse, to our students, and to raising the standard of care across the industry.
INTEGRITY THROUGH ANATOMY
We believe the body holds the truth. By grounding our methods in anatomy, physiology, and osteopathic principles, we treat the whole horse — not just isolated symptoms.
SPECIES SPECIFIC WELFARE
Healing begins when horses live as nature intended. We honor their innate needs through barefoot lifestyles, continuous forage, movement, and herd connection.
HOLISTIC EDUCATION
Knowledge is freedom. From dissection-based workshops to accredited online certifications, we empower therapists and owners with evidence-backed learning that creates lasting change.
LASTING RELATIONSHIPS
Our herd is living proof of what’s possible. Many of our horses thrived into their 30s and 40s because of three simple pillars: friends, freedom, and forage. Longevity isn’t luck — it’s care rooted in respect.
The knowledge that Elisse and her team has is amazing and their ability to explain anatomy and physiology is supreme.
I LOOK FORWARD TO THEIR INSIGHTS WHENEVER I HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT ANY OF MY HORSES.

WHAT WE DO
OUR SERVICES
From one-one treatment to educational programs, our services are designed to support horses, their people, and the professionals who care for them—always grounded in anatomy, informed by science, and recognized as NBCAAM-approved continuing education.
THERAPEUTIC SERVICES
Our therapy is guided by an osteopathic holistic approach—assessing the whole body rather than chasing symptoms. With training in osteopathy, orthopedics, craniosacral, kinesiology, and myofascial techniques, we aim to restore mobility and support lasting vitality in both horses and humans.

ANATOMICAL DISSECTION EDUCATION
Deep-dive sessions using equine cadavers to show how structure and function connect in real life. At present, we offer an equine distal limb dissection for purchase and a free dissection webinar, with more offerings in development. These resources are designed for therapists, trainers, and owners who want to sharpen their eye for anatomy and apply that knowledge directly in practice.

EQUINE BODY REMOVAL SERVICES
Through our sister company, Rainbow Bridge Transport, we provide compassionate end-of-life support with professional equine body removal and transport. Our team ensures every horse is handled with dignity and care; coordinating with licensed facilities for removal, cremation, or autopsy. This service gives owners peace of mind, knowing their horse’s final journey is managed with the same care and professionalism that defines all of our work.
