EQUINE CRANIAL LEVEL 1
In this introductory level, students explore the intricacies of the cranial system. By learning the distinct anatomy and physiology of the various bones and connective tissue that make up the system, a strong foundation for future practice is developed.
Specific palpation and assessment of the key bones in the cranial system is covered as well as foundational techniques for application of cranial work. Upon successful completion students are eligible to enrol in Cranial Therapy Level 2.
Pre-requisite: Diploma Equine Therapy or Human License to practice manual therapy.
CERTIFICATION
EQUINE CRANIAL LEVEL 2
In this second level, students build upon concepts learned in the first course while next training in the anatomy and physiology of the opposite end of the cranial system, the pelvis.
Learning to understand the various axis of movement available in the pelvis allows students to build a deeper feel for palpation of this integral region. Assessment and manual techniques for the sacrum, ilium, pubis, ischium, and sacroiliac joint are taught. Upon successful completion students are eligible to enrol in our advanced CE courses.

ADVANCED CE
Once students earn certification through our program, they have the opportunity to learn advanced evaluation and management of the craniosacral system including theory and application for visceral work, gelding scars and the hyoid apparatus.
Bringing together all concepts undertaken in the first two levels, students learn how to build out a comprehensive craniosacral assessment and session plan while integrating this work into their current practice.

Sign up for next intake
Craniosacral Levels 1 and 2 are open for enrollment year round. Apply today, and we will accommodate your schedule to arrange a practicum date. Whether you are enrolling in the online-only option for CE or Full Certification please note that these courses must be completed in sequence.
Prerequisite: Diploma in Equine Therapy or a license to practice manual therapy.

Complete online course
Students must complete the online course, including all quizzes (70% pass) and home exercises required for the portfolio submission, prior to the live practicum. Following the practicum, students have one year from their enrollment date to complete one critical case review. The online course includes three live Q&A webinars for each cohort, with dates dependent on your enrollment date.

Attend live practicum
Students seeking certification are required to participate in the live practicum for both levels. Each practicum is semi-private, accommodating groups of 2, and spans 4 days. This consists of three days of one-on-one, followed by a morning dedicated to written and practical evaluations.

Can't make it to a live practicum?
IF TRAVEL ISN'T AN OPTION, WE'VE GOT YOUR LEARNING COVERED
Equine Craniosacral Level 1 is available to you as an online only option. Please note you will not receive certification. Instead you will obtain a Certificate of Completion for Equine Craniosacral Theory only.
Depending on your association membership these courses may count towards your annual continuing education credits. All components of the online course including quizzes (70% pass) and your portfolio, must be completed in order to obtain a Certificate of Completion.

Our certification practicums are now offered in a semi-private format — capped at just 2 students. This change ensures a more personalized, less stressful learning experience compared to larger groups.

Practicums run 9am–4pm daily, with the final half-day reserved for examinations (9am–12pm)

How It Works

We will pair you with another student requesting the same dates.

A minimum of 2 students is required — single-student practicums are not available.

Each level (Level 1 & Level 2) requires 3.5 days: three full days of hands-on learning plus a half-day morning examination.

Students may choose to complete Level 1 and Level 2 back-to-back, provided another student is available to do the same.

Meet The Team
ELISSE MIKI & ANGIE GEE
With over thirty years combined education and experience working therapeutically we bring to you our unique blend of science meets spirit in these compelling courses.
Elisse is an Equine Craniosacral Therapist, Certified EAL Instructor, and the Owner of EQ Therapeutics. Elisse also holds a BSc. in Kinesiology, a Registered Massage Therapy Licence, and multiple Certifications in Equine Therapies. She has been working in her respective fields for over 20 years bringing a multitude of experience to her clients.
Angie is an Equine Therapist, holds a BMgt from UBC, and is the teaching assistant for all EQ Therapeutics courses. Angie completed both EQ Therapeutics Cranial Therapy certifications in 2024. She became Elisse's apprentice in March 2023 and is has been proudly working alongside her as a full-time equine therapist since October 2023.
Our goal is to share with you a once in a lifetime collaboration in knowledge. Through our collective professional and educational experience, specifically in the area of osteopathic cranial therapy, we provide you with an in-depth journey into this exciting field.
