Are you a horse owner who is wanting to learn basic manual techniques to keep your equine partner strong, mobile, and flexible?

If you would you like to improve your relationship with your horse and offer them some simple yet effective manual therapy techniques to help keep them feeling their best, then this course is designed for you!

Manual therapy is an effective treatment modality aimed at improving circulation, soft tissue tone, joint range of motion, neurological function, digestion, and even proprioception. By learning a solid anatomical foundation alongside specific manual techniques, you will be able to help your horse recover from training more efficiently, rehabilitate through injury, and maintain mobility well into their later years.

We’d love to invite you to join Equine Therapist, Equine Craniosacral Therapist, and RMT Elisse Miki, to a four-day immersion into manual therapy for horses. Elisse brings a variety education and experience to her teaching which means you get to learn techniques that stem from massage, craniosacral, osteopathy, and kinesiology all in one course.

In this 4-day course, we will be exploring various manual techniques such as massage, myofascial release, joint play, and acupressure points. The course includes an online learning platform where you will be taught theory, anatomy, physiology, assessment, treatment techniques, and homecare exercises designed to support the manual therapy techniques. Additionally, you will be guided through how to best manage the most common soft tissue injuries such as strains, sprains, and tendinopathies including timelines for healing of each pathology.

This course is open to all horse owners. No previous experience necessary but a sincere desire to improve the life of your horse is required! Course manual will be provided as well as refreshments.
