If you would you like to improve your relationship with your horse and offer them some simple yet effective manual therapy techniques to help keep them feeling their best, then this course is designed for you!
Why Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is an effective treatment modality aimed at improving circulation, soft tissue tone, joint range of motion, neurological function, digestion, and even proprioception. By learning a solid anatomical foundation alongside specific manual techniques, you will be able to help your horse recover from training more efficiently, rehabilitate through injury, and maintain mobility well into their later years.
We’d love to invite you to join Equine Therapist, Equine Cranial Therapist, and RMT Elisse Miki, and teaching assistant Katey Campbell of KC Equine Wellness, a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner, to a four-day immersion into manual therapy for horses. Elisse brings a variety education and experience to her teaching which means you get to learn techniques that stem from massage, craniosacral, osteopathy, and kinesiology all in one course.
In this 4-day course, we will be exploring various manual techniques such as massage, myofascial release, joint play, neuromuscular release, as well as various motor control exercises that will support your work. The course includes an online learning platform where you will be taught theory of anatomy, physiology, assessment, treatment techniques, and homecare exercises designed to support the manual therapy techniques. Additionally, you will be guided through how to best manage the most common soft tissue injuries such as strains, sprains, and tendinopathies including timelines for healing of each pathology.

- Susan Van Luhn, LIVE and Online Course
"This is a great course! You will learn about your horse inside and out. So many moments of insight. Well taught and explained. It will also teach you the language that your veterinarian uses so that you can better understand and explain symptoms. This course is as important as hay. Science based, taught by a professional in a down to earth manner. A must take!
